About

This mum loves Wellies. Rather a large generalization, however Wellies embody my personality quite well. Rainy days excite the little Anglophile inside me, and any puddles I can find are ever so welcome. All the more exciting is the fact that my year and a half old daughter loves tromping around on rainy days too. Her little pink Hunter Wellies are absolutely adorable and look ever so small next to my tall green ones. We live in Texas, thus there’s not a lot of tromping weather, but each rainy day is lived to its fullest at the Wilson household. My husband Matthew and I moved, with our daughter Izzy, from Kansas to Texas almost a year to the day ago for Matt to attend Dallas Theological Seminary. We are blessed to be here, and with one semester under our belts we feel a little less like fishes out of water.  This adventure has come with a lot of difficult growth, but when we are weak He is strong. We have seen the Lord’s faithfulness beyond what we ever could have imagined, and are excited to see what He has in store for our little clan. This blog is more or less an outlet for my life as a stay-at-home mum that hopes to someday turn into something more honed and refined.  Izzy our little firecracker will most likely be the source and inspiration for much of what I write . . . along with various frugal homemaking tips, scrumptious found recipes, and other such miscellaneous categories. Bear with me on this new beginning. I hope and pray that what I write is honoring in the eyes of my Savior but also is encouraging and uplifting in the eyes of those who venture here. God bless you dear reader whoever you may be!

  1. Dear Jessica,
Thank you for sharing your feelings, thoughts, inspirations and life with us in yet another precious way. I love the honesty and transparency I see in your stories. I love the fun, enthusiasm and downright joy from above that sparkles in your words. You know your ole Dad….so you know I cried as I read about “the death of an ole friend”….laughed out loud as I pictured your ice cream and tree branch hanging adventures and continue to appreciate the spiritual insights that being a stay at home “mummy” is revealing to you. You are a beautiful young lady in all ways and as your dad I just want you to know how proud I am of you and how very much I love you. ILMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Smile
